At least nine people died and several others missing after a boat hit another vessel and capsized off the Kenyan Coast of Lamu. The boat is said to have been transporting people from Lamu to a nearby mainland. According to the Kenya Red Cross, 25 survivors had by early afternoon been rescued from the vessel that is said to have been carrying about 82 passengers while 23 others managed to swim ashore. Rescue workers are still searching for survivors. Sheilla Sendeyo reports.
