Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park - Premium Room

Room tour of a Premium Room of the Crowne Plaza Lumpini Park in Bangkok.

The hotel is located close to Lumpini Park and in walkable distance to both skytrain and subway station “Silom”.

The Crowne Plaza occupies the top floors of an office tower near Lumpini Park with the lobby on the 22th floor. You need to change elevators to reach the room. The hotel has a large atrium over several floors.

The check-in desks are on the right-hand side if you leave the elevator. There are a number of conference rooms and boardrooms. The hotel offers an outdoor pool with jacuzzi, sauna and a fitness-centre. There are several food outlets (and two are also on the ground floor)

The rooms have been recently renovated but lack any local Thai style. The rooms are large. The Premium Room have a large bathroom with bath, shower, dual sink and Japanese toilet. The open closet is at the entrance to the bath.

The room comes with a small desk with power outlets and USB charging plugs. Additional USB charging outlets are available at the bedside tables / nightstands.

The design of the room uses light colours. The room was clean and showed no signs of wear. The bed was comfortable and there was an ottoman in front of the window. Bottled water is available and restocked during morning service and turn-down service.

A club lounge is available to those with access or booking Club Rooms. It is airy as is covers two floor and has a skylight offering natural light but now views as it is located on top of the atrium. Usually there are two lounge agents and check in would be possible there as well. In the morning breakfast is served. In the afternoon there is afternoon tea (buffet - 14:00 to 16:00) and in the evening (17:30 – 19:30) hors d’oeuvres. Wine, beer and sparkling wine as well as a (limited number of) spirits are available during this time.

Service in the lounge is attentive and quality of the offerings are good.

Breakfast is available also in Panorama Restaurant. A selection of different items could be ordered from a menu (both in Cloubn Lounge and restaurant). The variety downstairs is better, though it is quieter and more relaxed in the lounge.

The pool is more of the smaller size and so is the wellness area. The fitness centre is small and the most modern machines. Nevertheless, is offers all the machines for a workout including weights.

Overall a nice hotel with easy access to public transportation
