This social experiment deals with the gender discrimination of disabled people in buses during the rush hours. Therefore, the core objective of this experiment is to observe the general reaction of the society in general ‘how they treat the disabled people during the travelling hours?’. In addition, observations are more likely to take on the basis of the gender. The prevailing society makes numerous decisions through discriminating individuals as male and female. But it can impact positively as well as negatively for the society.
Therefore through this experiment, objectives are designed in order to provide a better solution for the influences that take place from the impacts of natural reaction of the travelers in rush hours. It provides a proper understanding about the Sri Lankan transport sector which is surrounded by different cultures and attitudes.
According to the general attitude of the society a common hypothesis can be observed through entire world; since the women are feeble, society looks on them often with sympathy. But not on male. Sometimes this kind of hypothesis may affect the social inclusiveness. And it may cause for drastic social problems in the transport sector since the transport has a derived demand.
Therefore, objectives of this social experiment have been focused more towards observing the reality of these hypotheses. It could be more supportive when providing better transport solutions as future transport managers.
