Pressure on agriculture and other food sources is sharply increasing with the ever-growing human population. This puts even greater pressure on the food production industry to keep up with population needs and adapt to become more sustainable, minimising the effect of the climate crisis.

Alternative proteins present an innovative solution to ensure food security worldwide. However, several challenges, including production scale-up and high costs, still need to be overcome before they become a viable food option.
