Isaac Abbott, Drake Hoferer, Kyle Jakary, Connor Bilodeau, Lucas Alberts, Matthew Ogilvie and Ryan Tait led Carmichael Jesuit to back-to-back Division 2 boys team titles and a state record 11th boys team crown overall with 52 points at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Abbott covered the 5-kilometer layout in 14:59.3 to secure seventh, Hoferer placed ninth in 15:01.1, Jakary achieved 11th in 15:03.8, Bilodeau earned 17th in 15:14.3, Alberts captured 22nd in 15:17.6, Ogilivie grabbed 40th in 15:34.1 and Tait took 82nd in 15:58.2 for the Marauders, who won consecutive Division 2 championships for the first time since 2005-06. Carmicahel Jesuit also ran 75:36.1 as a team to become the second-fastest school in Woodward Park history, with only Newbury Park High of California producing five faster marks on the 5-kilometer course from 2019-22.
