Andhra Style Beef Pepper Fry Recipe | Spicy Beef Fry with Guntur Chilies & Homemade Masala
Andhra Style Beef Pepper Fry is a spicy and flavorful South Indian dish made with tender boneless beef pieces, marinated with a blend of aromatic spices, ginger, garlic, and fresh herbs. This dish features homemade masala powder made from roasted spices like coriander, cumin, and Guntur red chilies, creating a perfect balance of heat and flavor. The beef is pressure-cooked to tenderness and then roasted to coat the pieces in a rich, dry masala. With the addition of curry leaves, cashews, and a touch of ghee, this beef fry is a delicious accompaniment to rice or parotta, offering bold and mouthwatering flavors in every bite.
Ingredients :
Marination :
500 gms Boneless Beef (cut into bite size pieces)
½ tsp Turmeric Powder (haldi powder)
½ tsp Black Pepper Powder (kali mirch powder)
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
½ tsp Salt (or as per taste)
½ tsp Garlic (finely chopped)
½ tsp Ginger (finely chopped)
2 to 3 Green Chillies (chopped)
3 to 4 nos Mint Leaves (finely chopped)
2 to 3 tbsp Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
1 sprig Curry Leaves (crushed by hand)
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil (use as per your diet restrictions)
To make Masala Powder :
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds (sabut dhania)
½ tsp Cumin Seeds (jeera)
½ tbsp Black Peppercorns (sabut kali mirch)
4 nos Cloves (lavang)
2 nos Cinnamon Sticks (dalchini)
2 nos Green Cardamoms (hari elaichi)
2 to 3 blades Star Anise (chakra phool)
1 Bay Leaf (tej patta)
2 to 3 nos Guntur Red Chillies
Other Ingredients :
100 ml Hot Water
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil (use as per your diet restrictions)
1 tbsp Clarified Butter (Ghee) - (use as per your diet restrictions)
2 medium size (100 gms) Onion - sliced
½ tsp Ginger (finely chopped)
½ tsp Garlic (finely chopped)
1 sprig Curry Leaves
3 to 4 nos Green Chillies (slit or slightly punctured or whole) - use as per your spice tolerance
2 to 3 tbsp Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
10 to 12 nos Fried Cashew Nuts
Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbsp is tablespoon
Use Oil as per your diet restrictions
Use Chillies as per your spice preference
Always wash curry leaves & coriander leaves before use
