This magnificent structure of Chandni Jaltungi was built by Maharaja Kirti Chand of Bardhaman who ruled from 1702 AD to 1740 AD. The Maharaja commissioned this beautiful structure to represent the Royal Chatris built within the various Jheels of Rajasthan, Sindh and Punjab. Maharaja Kirti Chand was married to a Noble Lady Rajrajeshwari hailing from the noteworthy business family of Tandons from Punjab. In order to make his wife “feel at home” this beautiful waterbody along with a grand palace was built by the Maharaja here. Although the palace does not exist anymore, this beautiful Jheel still stands to tell the stories of the forgotten era. Some of the most famous musicians have graced this beautiful garden and the banks of this Jheel during the Maharaja’s times.

CANCELLATION:
[1] Full pre-payment for all bookings is compulsory.
[2] Request received 10 days prior to arrival, 90% refunded on the total billed amount.
[3] Request received 6-9 days prior to arrival, 75% refunded on the total billed amount.
[4] Request received 3-5 days prior to arrival, 50% refunded on the total billed amount.
[5] Request received 48 hours prior to arrival, NO REFUND will be allowed.
[6] During the stay or on arrival, if part cancellations are requested, NO REFUND will be allowed.

[1] You have to carry Photo Identity Proof (Aadhar / Voter ID / Driving License)
[2] AC/ Geysers/ TV/ Mini Fridge will not run during power failures or low voltage.
[3] WE WILL ONLY ALLOW POSTPONEMENT FOR CANCELLATIONS REQUESTED FOR COVID-19 LOCKDOWNS AND RESTRICTIONS. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ALLOWED IF LOCKDOWN OR LOCAL RESTRICTION HAPPENS.
