Massive S End, N Conduit & E Baghouse Foundation Progress!15 May 2024 Giga Texas Update (07:05AM)

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!

A gorgeous sunrise and more importantly, a clear sky & bright lighting for today's drone flight, and there is a lot to see, especially on the south end extension area! Production of the Cybertruck is far outstripping the Model Y now, and that is consistent with what I've been hearing from inside the factory, particularly as it relates to staff cuts.

Some other highlights to look for in the images and video:

On the north end of the main factory, we see the trenching & conduit work continues, now getting ready to go under Tesla Road and join under the north parking lot to the north end of the casting section. We also see more work on the east side of casting, with preparations for more screw-type piers near where the three old receiving doors are now being reconfigured. Further south, the mud base has expanded on the future foundation site for the bag house filtration system. Forms are being installed on top of the mud base ahead of rebar installation. the tops of the screw-type piers in this area are visible just above the mud base, to allow these to be tied into the rebar.

On the far east side, we see the pipe fabrication workshops and many pipes that have been prepared for use in the south extension. Many of these completed pipes are visible in the images inside the south extension, second floor as seen from the west side.

The southeast chiller plant structural platform continues to get what appears to be scaffolding on the top inside the already installed base units. There is a lot of speculation as to what these are for, if they are permanent and if this signals the EVAPCO units will not be installed here after all. Since I cannot say with certainty what is going on here, I'll just wait until we can see more direct evidence and try to figure it out along with many of you as we go along.

The Boring Company tunneling seems to be in a pause right now, probably related to all the concrete pours going on inside the new south extension in the area where the bore line of the tunnel enters into the structure. Also, on the east berm of the highway (near the building extension), we can see the above ground stakes that show where the tunnel path and likely current location of the Prufrock 3 TBM.
