Damachau costume
It was in use in the late 19th – early 20th century in small town Damachava, villages Chersk, Rudnia, and Lipinki of Brest district, the Hrodna Governorate (now Brest district of Brest region).

A young girl’s festive costume
▪ Shirt. Canvas shirt with a turndown collar. Ornamented decoration is done according to a four-thread and embroidery weaving techniques, with satin stitch, cross-stitch, comma, and marginal suture embroidery.
▪ Khvartukh (skirt). Sewn from a striped cotton handmade fabric, manufactured according to a four-thread weaving technique.
▪ Apron. Sewn from a striped wool mixture handmade fabric, manufactured according to a four-thread weaving technique; trimmed with factory-manufactured lace.
▪ Brassiere. Made from canvas on a cotton felling. Decorated with a ribbon and machine stitch. Fastened with metal buttons.
▪ Chylka (headwear). Hoop made of carton sewn round with woolen fabric and a ribbon.
▪ Patserki (string of beads)
▪ Shoes

A young man’s festive costume
▪ Shirt. Cotton, with a turndown collar. Decorated with satin-stitch embroidery and “painting” seam.
▪ Pants. Sewn from flax-mixture homemade fabric.
▪ Belt. Retiform, woven from woolen threads; decorated with fringed edges.
▪ Hat. Woven from straw.
▪ Boots
