2025 Honda Dax 125 - Installing the Gear Indicator and Clock on a USA Honda Dax 125

In this video, we install the OEM Gear Indicator and Clock on our USA market 2025 Honda Dax 125 ST125. The USA version of the Honda Dax 125 has a reversed gear pattern, and a different wiring harness than the versions in the rest of the world. There are already a number of YouTube videos showing how to install the Gear Indicator and Clock on the normal Honda Dax 125, but this video concentrates on only the USA version of the Dax 125.

We believe that the first person to install the gear Indicator and Clock on a USA Dax 125 was @Sixer-84 and we learned a lot from him. His YouTube channel is at:

After thinking more about the Dax install, rather than taking the red and green wires to the headlight, it would have been better to cut off both of the rear 4-pin connectors by cutting off the whole rear "Y" of the accessory cable. We think the red and green wires would still be long enough to reach up to the battery + and - terminals. Then we'd extend the black wire if it needed to be longer to reach the tail light wire for the switched power. That would keep the whole rear part still as a cable bundle without needing to be re-wrapped. We think that without the rear "Y" and 4-pin connectors, the whole rear cable bundle could be fished up from below with a TIG wire as we did for the single red wire. The only downside to this choice is a small one. We were trying to avoid tapping into the main wiring harness but one could tap into the tail light rear of it's connection to the main harness to get switched power for the black wire.

We also used a Kitaco Power Out-put Harness. The number for that is
