Since 1941, Sheppard Air Force Base has been the most diverse training installation in the United States Air Force, and Sheppard is known across the country. In its own community, SAFB is a partner of the City of Wichita Falls - both economically and as a source of pride.
What is less known nationally about the base is the critical role it plays in training fighter pilots not just for America, but for the world.
Sheppard is home to the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program. 14 allied countries send students to the base where new classes of ENJJPT pilots begin the intense, 55-week training program to prepare them for service.
