Due to dollar shortage in the open market, the dollar price is fluctuating every moment. In the open market, the dollar exceeded 103 rupees today. In Dhaka's money changers and Kholabazar, the US dollar was traded between 103 taka 50 paisa and 104 taka. Traders said that they are selling at high prices because there is no dollar in the open market. Open markets and money changers usually buy repatriated and hoarded dollars. This market has no relationship with bank's export and expatriate income. The price of the dollar has also increased in the banking channel due to the increase in the price of imported goods. Because, despite the increase in exports, the income of expatriates has decreased. Although the official price of the dollar is 94 taka 45 paisa, the dollar was traded between 100 and 102 taka before and after Eid in the open market. Today it exceeds 103 rupees. Meanwhile, traders say that the supply and demand of dollars in the market was good before and after Eid. Because, at this time, many people came to the country from abroad to celebrate Eid.

খোলাবাজারে ডলার সংকট থাকায় প্রতি মুহূর্তেই ডলারের দাম ওঠানামা করছে। খোলাবাজারে ডলার আজ ১০৩ টাকা ছাড়িয়েছে। ঢাকার মানি চেঞ্জার ও খোলাবাজারে মার্কিন ডলার ১০৩ টাকা ৫০ পয়সা থেকে ১০৪ টাকার মধ্যে কেনাবেচা হয়েছে। খোলাবাজারে ডলার না থাকায় চড়া দামে বিক্রি করছেন বলে জানান ব্যবসায়ীরা। খোলাবাজার ও মানি চেঞ্জারগুলো সাধারণত বিদেশফেরত ও সংগ্রহে থাকা ডলার ক্রয় করে। ব্যাংকের রপ্তানি ও প্রবাসী আয়ের সঙ্গে এ বাজারের সম্পর্ক নেই। আমদানি পণ্যের দাম বেড়ে যাওয়ায় ব্যাংকিং চ্যানেলেও ডলারের দাম বেড়ে গেছে। কারণ, রপ্তানি বাড়লেও প্রবাসী আয় কমেছে। ডলারের দাম আনুষ্ঠানিক ৯৪ টাকা ৪৫ পয়সা হলেও তা খোলাবাজারে ঈদের আগে ও পরে ১০০ থেকে ১০২ টাকার মধ্যে ডলার কেনাবেচা হয়েছে। আজ তা ১০৩ টাকা ছাড়িয়ে যায়। এদিকে ব্যবসায়ীরা বলছেন, ঈদের আগে ও পরে বাজারে ডলারের সরবরাহ ও চাহিদা ভালো ছিল।
