Join the Anti-War WG, Red Rabbits, and Racial Justice WG on Friday March 29th for a brief history of protest movements in NYC and a discussion of how we can apply the lessons we learn to our current moment fighting for Palestinian liberation.
The street movement in support of Palestinian liberation in NYC has faced mass violent arrests, constant riot police deployment, and vicious attacks on marches and rallies by the NYPD. We know that our imperialist, capitalist ruling class is not threatened when we stagnate in our tactics and allow them to repress us by imposing unbearable financial and legal punishments for opposing genocide. In order to adapt to meet this critical moment, we are examining the history of protest movements in NYC that came before us, why they succeeded and how the ruling class fought against liberation.
