Rear caliper rebuild for Subaru - anyone can do this

I'm rebuilding the rears of some JDM Subaru WRX 2 pot brake calipers that will be upgrading to on my 2005 Subaru forester XT. These are used a lot on rally cars and called Gravel brakes, which I believe allows them to run smaller rim sizes to accommodate different tire setups.


its real easy and very satisfying to restore these calipers and when your done you'll have a killer set of brakes and the added knowledge of rebuilding and learning about your calipers inside and out!


Rebuilding the front calipers next, stay tuned!

I used an OEM Subaru caliper rebuild kit, link below.
A Caliper bracket is needed to install the rear on a 2005 Subaru forester, while the fronts are a direct bolt on.

I dont have an affiliation with these, its here for reference..you can find these parts on many web sites :-)
