EP 19: DIY - Building our own Mainsail! | Two the Horizon Sailing

Ever dream about buying a brand new mainsail for $800? This time we bring you along for our DIY biggest boat project yet - BUILDING OUR OWN MAINSAIL! We are stoked to finally release this footage with you all. This project kicked our butts, it was a lot of work, we learned a ton and now we truly understand the art and skill required to be a sailmaker. Although we love our Sailrite LSZ1 machine on the boat, we were stoked to use the pneumatic machines at Hogin Sails. Sonya Used to work at the loft and thankfully they helped us out with the design and cutting of the material and we couldn't have done it without them!!
This is a new first for our channel, I am posting this video while under mandated quarantine in hopes that we can control the Coronavirus from spreading more than it already has. These are crazy times - full of uncertainty, emotions and lots of free time, being quarantined to our homes. We send all our viewers a virtual hug, as we all endure this rollercoaster ride. With this video we hope to at least bring you some extra entertainment (and hopefully some knowledge) with this extensive DIY sewing video!
