In 1967, the Shadows performed at the Split Festival, and in the English version they sang 'Beat na moru' (Running out of World)

On August 3, 1967, the famous guests from England, the group The Shadows, arrived at the Split 67 pop music festival. The band, which was one of the first and probably the most important role models for early beat and rock and roll bands in Yugoslavia in the early 60s of the last century, was greeted by a mass of curious people.

This seventh Split Festival was held for the first time at the famous Prokurative, after it was organized six times at the Bačvice beach. The young singer Oliver Dragojević also appeared at the festival for the first time. He performed Zdenko Runjić's song "Picaferaj" and went completely unnoticed, which is why he almost gave up his solo singing career.

According to the expert jury, the first place was shared by the Dubrovnik Troubadours with the song "Luda mladost" and VIS Delfini with the song "Beat na moru", which was performed in the English version called "Running Out Of World" by the Shadows.
