Shimi by Maximum The Hormone - Cover

Anime fans will know this band. Maximum The Hormone provided intros and outros for the cult series Death Note, which is how I discovered the band and Far Eastern metal in general.

My cover of "Shimi" isn't the original version from the corresponding album "Bu-ikikaesu" from 2007. It's a special mix released in 2024. I don't know why, but the sound is much heavier than the original.

It's a bit difficult for me to gather information about this band. Relevant sources are in Japanese, and Google Translate is sometimes nonsensical, so I'm not including any of that.

However, based on their recent releases, it seems that Maximum The Hormone is still active and still consists of the same four members as in 2000.

A tour doesn't seem to be planned yet. That's a shame.
