The band paid tribute to the late Richard Hadlock during their set. Richard was a musician, historian, writer, and radio host of KCSM 91.1's "Annals of Jazz," which has been running for over 60 years on Mondays at 10 pm. Richard played at the Jazz on the Hill festival in 2014, marking his final performance at the event. The performance was captured by Michael Steinman of Jazz Lives ( ‪@swingyoucats‬ ):    • "SUMMERTIME": BARBARA DANE / RICHARD HADLO...  . Nathan was gifted Richard's soprano saxophone and played the same tune, "Summertime," that Richard performed 10 years ago at the Jazz on the Hill festival.
