For various reasons we live in a culture divided and a nation in conflict. As we go into this 2024 Fall presidential campaign, we know we will encounter this division increasingly at work, at school, in our neighborhood and even among family members.

God is a God of unity. God is a community of persons united in love. The three persons of the Trinity all work together in love and harmony to create, to redeem and to sanctify this world.

In this message series, we’ll look at how as Christians we are first to unite our lives and our efforts with the Lord. We are co-laborers or collaborators with him. Out of that collaboration we bring unity to our work and school communities, in our neighborhoods and at home. As Jesus followers instead of descending into polarization, we can transform moments of disagreement or areas of conflict into opportunities for growth and connection, and in the process, effectively share our faith…because, you can’t win your enemies to Christ; you can only win your friends.

Our strategy is to creatively reach out to disconnected Catholics in our North Baltimore community with a fresh and relevant presentation of the life-changing message of the Gospel to help them take their next steps on the path of discipleship to make them fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Our Focus
Our weekend experience is central to our strategy and the weekend message is central to the weekend experience. Music, message and ministers work together to create an irresistible environment of energy and excellence in which newcomers feel welcome and want to come back. We believe in excellent weekend programs for kids and students where the messages parallel the adult message and are equally important.

Worship
We believe in Orthodox Christianity, as taught by the Roman Catholic Church. The Eucharistic celebration is the source and summit of our faith, which we seek to live and serve with the whole of our lives in vibrant and creative ways; in other words, we strive for a “Dynamic Orthodoxy.” Excellence in our worship honors God.

Fellowship
We believe that our Baptism makes us one family in which we learn to love one another as Christ loved us. We strive to build a church culture through Small Groups where people are open and authentic, especially about their need to grow and change. Our community does life together.

Discipleship
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. Our preaching and messages aim to break open the relevance of the Bible for our daily lives. Changing and growing into the likeness of Christ is not just greater knowledge of our faith, but doing what God’s Word says. Discipleship ultimately means life-change.

Service
We believe that the Holy Spirit has prepared works for us to do that which will advance the kingdom of Christ. We recognize God’s call on our church to serve both within our parish and also beyond: in our city, our country, and in the world. In the service of the Lord we are challenged to always do more. We accept that challenge.
