I was hiking in Deane Dana Friendship Park in San Pedro and sat down on a bench in the upper meadow. There was a blue heron prowling the meadow. As I watched, he had his lunch - three pocket gophers while I watched. He was hunting when I arrived and continued after I left. Nature in action.
Don't watch this if you don't want to see pocket gophers become the blue heron's lunch.
