The insight of this performance is to showcase the supremacy of the king(God) of kings.

Kabiesi, a Yoruba masterpiece that showcases the supremacy of our heavenly King (God).
This particular arrangement was inspired by OBA PROFFESOR AKINOLA A. OWOSEKUN the Asotun of Isotun during his 80th Birthday and Bicentennial Celebration of Asotun Dynasty in March 2023.
On that day the king displayed the peak of humility, where he was directed by the clergyman to remove his crown and bow before the altar in order to show his appreciation to God. In Yoruba Land, no one dares to order a king to remove his crown, the kings remove their crown at will and in their closets, but Oba Prof AKINOLA A. OWOSEKUN did exactly as he was instructed by God through the clergyman, he slowly and humbly remove his Royal crown in front of the congregation and went down on his knees in front of the altar to reference the King of kings, hence the insight of this performance.
