WHY 31" TIRES

31” TIRES
Pros:
lighter
mpg is better?
Faster acceleration
Don’t need to switch out gear ratio
Better than stock for ground clearance
Quiet
Less strain on jeep- steering parts, ball joints, motor, transmission, transfer case
cheaper to buy
“Stock look” (subjective)
airing up and down is faster
no rubbing turning radius
does not require more mods

Cons:
lower to the ground
mpg?
“stock look” (subjective)
less popular option
less capable off road – less side wall
Thinner tire more often.
Trails are harder.
Tires don’t stick out as much.

33’’ & 35” TIRES
Pros:
higher off ground
wider profile to drive on top and not through
Trail objects are smaller for you by ratio
Looks customized
Tires stick out more… Less likely of tipping

Cons:
louder
slower acceleration
heavy
mpg???
Strain on other parts of jeep
turning radius
requires lift kit/ other mods

15” VS. 17” rims
17” RIM
Better handling at faster speeds but less side wall for airing down. More likely to get damaged off road

15” RIM
More side wall for airing down but less control at higher speeds. Less likely to get damaged off road.
