Visiting PermaFoodForest

One of the main reasons for visiting Senegal was to visit www.PermaFoodForest.com, a 4-year-old productive permaculture farm that grows tropical fruit trees and medicinal plants, and in this video, you get to see all that this place has to offer.

Almamy Djassy is our tour guide today. He is the master gardener of the farm in Kabadio and has vast experience with sustainable land use, soil rehabilitation, and bioconstruction. Apart from that, he is a great guy and someone whom I am lucky to call a friend.

In this video, he shows us the ins and outs of his farm in Kabadio, and teaches us a lot about the medicinal benefits of the different plants and trees that grow on his land.

If you want to help Almamy with future projects, I've set up a GoFundMe with an initial goal of $100 USD to help him with his daily ventures as he continues developing the farm, and so that he may buy his very own land in the near future. One hundred dollars goes a lot further in Senegal than it does in Europe, so once we hit 100, we can raise the goal to 1000.
