Gauges, Check Springs, Machinist's Jacks, and More - Sunday Morning Quickies: April 3rd, 2022

We have a lot to see this week. I demonstrate and review the Timing Gauge Set and Thread Clearance Gauges made by Mark Sumpter of S-ish.com amd the Sewing Machine Resource Group on Facebook, The subject machines for the demonstrations are a Singer 31-15 and a Singer 99K. We look at the correct adjustment of the check spring on a 99K and similar machines, I'll show you the component parts of my machinist's jack that I use to hold machines at secure angles on my sewing machine fixture, We will discuss feed problems and adjustment of the feed dog and presser bar on a 99K, plus more news on the live show. All of this after a recollection of a road trip to visit and meet someone special.
