Today’s word of the day is introvert.

An introvert is a person who prefers calm environments, limits social engagement, or embraces a greater than average preference for solitude.

Etymologically, Intro vert can be broken down into two parts

Intro is latin for to the inside

And vert is latin for to turn

So, in this sense, introvert means to turn to the inside.

Introverts are often quiet, reserved, and introspective.

They recharge by spending time alone--thus an introvert needs solitude to feel at peace.

1. Being Around Lots of People Drains Your Energy

2. You Enjoy Solitude

3. You Have a Small Group of Close Friends

4. People Often Describe You as Quiet and May Find It Difficult to Get to Know You

5. Too Much Stimulation Leaves You Feeling Distracted and Unfocused

Now that you know more about introversion, or being an introvert, here is your task:

Analyze your personality, and answer this question: Are you an introvert? If yes, explain why. If no, once again, explain why. If you are partially introverted, then explain why you think this is so. So good luck and be ready to share your analysis with the class.
