In 1992, after Ed (Disinter - drums) went off to the Navy, I tried to keep it going, but Disinter ( • Видео ) disintegrated. Shane, Alex and Mark had a heavy, mosh-riff oriented band which had formed in the wake of Hoodface, and they wanted me to record some songs, so I did. There was no singer and no vocals had been recorded, so I decided to lay some down. They knew I was going to do that, and I seamlessly became the vocalist. We named the band “Monolith”. This original incarnation of Monolith lasted about 1.5 years or so. We also recorded a live 4-song EP at Mud-Hut Studios in PA with Bill Dodd. Shane moved away and the band turned into Phobos ( • Phobos - Fresh Pastes And Cremes (1993) , with Kevin Glaz taking over on the guitars.
