Mojave Air & Space Port (KMHV) | FINALLY Seeing the World’s Largest Plane Land (Stratolaunch)

Fly with us in our Piper Arrow into exciting Mojave Air & Space Port (KMHV) onto Runway 08. Join us as we visit the on-field restaurant, check out the Pilot’s Lounge and grab some swag at the Gift Shop. We’ll share the incredible Startolaunch low approach and landing AND we’ll finish off with a tail cam view of the Stratolaunch being towed back to its hangar.

TRANSIENT PARKING
There are about 6 transient parking spots on the ramp directly in front of The Voyager café. Each spot has rope tie downs. If you are unfamiliar with using ropes for tie downs be sure to bring your own. It gets very windy at this airport and you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared. Expect to pay $5/single engine and $10/multi. Tiedown fees may be waived with fuel purchase – fill out the information in the link to receive your waiver. https://paperless.mojaveairport.com/f...

FUEL
Self serve fuel pump is located east of the transient parking. The are is lit, has ladders and chocks. Fuel was much cheaper than our home field at $5.16/gal during our September 2025 visit.

RESTROOMS
Restrooms are located inside the FBO and restaurant. Restrooms are clean and well stocked.

PILOTS LOUNGE
The terminal has a dedicated pilots lounge with comfy seating, wi-fi, a flight planning computer, printer and cold water. The space is air conditioned and has a view out onto the ramp. There are a few photo albums with great photos of past events at the airport. Restrooms are located down the hall to the west. The gift shop is almost directly across the hall and has all kinds of fun souvenirs.

CREW CAR / RENTAL CARS / RIDESHARE
Rideshare is your best option here. There are no crew cars or car rentals available at the airport.

FOOD
The Voyager Café is located on field within the terminal and adjacent to the transient parking. The café has a classic diner menu with varied options. Snag a booth by the window for incredible ramp and runway views. Don’t forget to take some time to look at the photos of the historic moments at Mojave and definitely admire the map showcasing Dick Rutan’s first ever non-stop unrefueled flight around the world.

Mojave Air & Space Port has many other exciting tenants including, Scaled Composites, National Test Pilot School, NG Stargazer L-011 TriStar, The Spaceship Company and the Mojave Commercial Airliner Storage (aka the boneyard).
