The first episode of a new, ongoing webcast with Dr. Adam Ellwanger and Dr. Mike Duncan, two professors of English at the University of Houston --Downtown. We are friends and rivals (or, as Mike puts it, "frenemies") on different ends of the political spectrum. We began this webcast as a way to model good practices for productive deliberation as we discuss matters relevant to higher education, culture, and politics. In this first episode, we talk about ourselves, our expertise, our relationship, and our aims for this webcast. Comments welcome.
