Ep 7: My Deer Friends and New Fawns! :-) Summer 2017

About 2 1/2 years ago, I started rolling an occasional apple to some of the deer from 100' away. Eventually, some of them got closer. It took a while (along with corn and apples), but a year ago, Elly came right up to me. Since then, she and a number of others have become quite trusting of me. Last year, the moms brought their fawns up to meet me when they were about 4-5 months old. This year, they brought them up at 5-6 weeks old. I feel very priviledged that they do this.

My deer friends don't trust or go near humans....but they go near me (lol). I haven't become one of the herd. I am just something that they can trust.
