I went to Superior, Arizona to mine some clear obsidian. I found the largest Apache tear, I’ve seen at this site. I was surprised to find a wonderful amethyst specimen on the way in as well!
This is one of my favorite rockhounding sites. Only 90 minutes east of the Phoenix metro area, it’s perfect for a day trip.
