Cruising from Dover, UK? Watch this FIRST! I admit, 15 years since I've been to Dover / Kent, so I wasn't sure what to expect before cruising from the port with Fred Olsen Borealis. In this episode I'll talk through some of the transport links, orientation, a detailed look at my hotel, the Dover Marina Hotel (including food, drinks, menus, costs etc), the immediate locality (beach, harbours, sea front, a morning at Dover Castle with lots of info) plus a tour of the nearby seaside resort of Deal and Walmer Castle. We also meet 3 reps from the Port of Dover marketing and communications team and find out why they think Dover is a unique port from which to sail. It's then time to see how arrival and check-in operates at the cruise terminal (berth 2). I am definitely ready for this next adventure and next time the spotlight will be firmly on Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines as we begin our cruise to the Azores, Madeira and Lisbon. Let's do this!
