ALIEN ROMULUS: THE WEIGHT OF EXPECTATION

With the release of yet another entry in the Alien universe canon, director Fede Alvarez pits himself against a first and second act which many have tried and largely, failed to follow. Romulus sets itself up to be an “also ran” but this critique, through the lens of legacy, is, at once, inherently unfair and inevitable.
