I want to go over a couple of the main reasons why a circuit pops when running a floor buffer. Typically, if you are running a floor buffer while the cord is wrapped around the machine, that will increase the amp drop and decrease the flow of electricity. This can cause the circuit to heat up and pop. The second most important thing is many times people use an extension cord on their machines. The machine has a 14 gauge cord and most people will grab a standard 16 gauge extension cord. The 14 gauge cord needs a stronger, heavier cord (12 gauge). The 16 gauge will restrict flow to the machine, increase the temperature at the circuit, and possibly pop it.
