STANDING ON THE EDGE OF AN ACTIVE VOLCANO (Mount Bromo!) 🇮🇩

Day 4 of our Lombok to Jakarta trip takes us to the active volcano Mount Bromo! After driving out of Malang City, Java we enter the beautiful mountains of Java. The journey to Mt Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is over two hours so we stop along the way to snack on coconuts and fritters whilst meeting kind Indonesian people as always. We stop at the National Park Centre to buy our tickets before meeting a man who lost his shoes and then arrive at the volcano crater. After throwing caution to the wind we itch our scooter for two motorbike riders who carry us pillion through the ash and rock. A nerve wracking ride later and we get to the crater which is even more powerful and terrifying than anything we could have imagined. After staring in awe for a while at the volcano we eventually head back down and then begin the drive to Malang. Tired and hungry, we stop for some snacks and also to buy a new bag before finally arriving in the city and enjoying an extremely large dinner before going to bed after another awesome day in East Java.
