Our ECOS PROJECT - Blue Economy and Coastal Ecosystem Opportunities for a Sustainable Development - in Kenya, in the coastal area of Kilifi, works alongside local communities against the deforestation, to preserve marine biodiversity, and support economic development through the blue economy.
Every action is a step towards a healthier marine ecosystem and a stronger community in Kilifi.
We promote food security and access to drinking water for 3,000 residents of Kilifi Creek.
This is why a solar desalination plant was built to serve these communities, improving their living conditions and offering new opportunities for economic development and food security.
