When trying to decide which Lily Jade bag would work well for our twins, I looked for options that were comparable to the Ju-Ju-Be Bfs because it is my go-to everyday bag. I packed my Ju-Ju-Be BFF as I normally do, you will notice I do not like to over-stuff my bags, and then moved everything to my Lily Jade Madeline. I was happy with the size because I was able to accommodate everything I carry, in the Madeline, with room to spare. I have been loving this bag and brand itself! It works perfect as either an over the shoulder or backpack, I have not tried the messenger strap, however, I am almost sure it will be comfortable as well. I found they both suit my packing style as everyday bags and I can use either without having to cutdown on the items my twins require. With both bags, I had extra room for anything extra I may have needed. If you had been wondering this, as I was, I hope you found this useful.
