A benzene–toluene mixture containing 50 mol% benzene (xf) is to be separated in a distillation column with a reboiler and a partial condenser.
The goal is to obtain:
A distillate product containing 80 mol% benzene (xd)
A bottoms product containing 15 mol% benzene (xw)
The feed is a mixture of 50% saturated vapor, which means q=0.5. The reflux ratio (R) is 2.0, and the overall tray efficiency (ηtrays) is 50%.
Tasks:

2. Determine the feed tray location
3. Calculate the minimum reflux ratio
