In this part of the webinar, we discuss permaculture design principles in a humid landscape, focusing on water systems and landscape features. We talk briefly about the "keypoint," which marks the transition from convex to concave contours and is crucial for water harvesting systems.
The appropriate positioning of a forest in relation to the keypoint creates a thermal belt, where warmer air is pushed down by frost, extending the growing season.
Dams on the other hand are best located where the water moves the slowest optimizing storage efficiency. We also talk about the importance of aligning water harvesting features with landscape contours.
so in this presentation, we highlight the integration of water systems with landscape features to maximize efficiency and sustainability in permaculture design.
