This video explains some key aspects of the Commission's proposal for the EU long-term budget. In May 2018, the European Commission put forward the proposal, which is a result of an open and inclusive debate with citizens, beneficiaries of EU funding, Members of the European and national Parliaments and representatives of the EU member states. The new budget is an opportunity to shape our future as a new, ambitious Union of 27 bound together by solidarity.
