This one very hearly broke me trying to complete this on the hard settings. The AI are just a nightmare wit hramming, punting and the like, so I gave as good as I got in this one. IF you are an average racer like me, save yourself some heartache and frustration and do this one on Normal difficulty settings.

In this video we take a look at how to (not so) very easily get the gold trophy for the GT3 Cup race at Mount Panorame (also known as Bathurst) using the simply brilliant BMW M6 print Edition. As usual we take a look at our choice of car, the all important tuning of our car and how to run the race to secure the gold trophy using the Hard AI settings.

THE RACE RANDOMISER

The race randomiser can be weighted for our favourite tracks, car types, weather and the time of day. The system will then pick a random track from the database and also an applicable random car type, weather and time of day. I will initially be guessing the number of laps needed to complete a 10 minute race, but the system will be updated based on our fastest lap time for future races, or even our preferred number of laps.

I have only just begun to use the Race Generator in a live environment, so please bear with me if I have any issues - which I probably will. I’ll get those bugs and issues fixed as quickly as possible.

Initially, please use the PlayStation Racer Discord to vote for your favourite tracks, car types, weather and time of day (as detailed in the game). You can also downvote tracks, car types, etc. So, If you hate rally driving, down vote Fisherman’s Ranch (for example). If you love driving Gr.4 cars at Sardegna A, then drop me an upvote for that combination. In a few days’ time, I hope to compile a list of tracks, cars, etc. to share on my discord and which people can use to up vote and down vote their favourites and not so favourites.

RACING WITH US IN THE LOBBY

If you wish to race with us, please keep it clean and respectful at all times. The sessions are policed and persistent dirty racing will result in a kick.

The races are open to Friends, so please subscribe to the channel and then ask for my PSN address in the chat. Make a friend request and I’ll grant that usually between each race. As always, these races are based on a first in the lobby basis. People that join the lobby but do not join the race in a timely manner will be kicked, purely to keep the races moving.

For the random lobby races, I am trying to have a 5-10 minutes practice session (often when I am doing some housekeeping on the channel, or chatting), then a 10 minute qualifier and then the race itself, often over 10 minutes, or longer for he longer tracks like the Nordschleife, Le Mans, etc.

I love racing on motor racing sim games and Gran Turismo has been my favourite for many years.
