"Enchanted Flute" is a Social Distancing Fusion Dance project involving 16 Fusion Dancers from 2 countries and 7 States, all performing to track "Veil Dancer" by Desert Wind edited by David Forni of Psyoptics Productions. This is Irina's 9th large collaborative project, in which she explored nontraditional veil technique she calls Vertical Veil.
The choreographer, Irina Akulenko, taught this dance over several Zoom meetings, then each participant recorded their performance from their personal location. During times of social distancing, being isolated is particularly difficult for dancers. Projects like this, bring us as close to performing together as is possible, in this moment.
