In this lecture, we discuss the genera Histophilus and Glaesserella; both genera were previously classified as Haemophilus. I'll cover the basic microbiological characteristics, taxonomy, virulence factors, common clinical presentations, sample collection and diagnostic strategies, zoonotic potential and treatment options for these organisms.
