Welcome to Master It Mondays — my album-making series where we build an album step-by-step in parts. New episodes are shared monthly, and some months you might get an extra video (or two) depending on the project.
In Part 1, we’re focusing on making the album covers for an 8" x 8" album, with a spine wide enough to take a 5-hinge system. I’m sharing two different methods for covering your album covers and spine:
1. 3 A4 sheets cardstock wrap method – I use three sheets of A4 black cardstock, cut down to wrap and cover the complete album cover and spine for a clean, seamless finish.
2. Construction tape edge method – using construction tape around the edges of the album cover for a sturdy, neat finish (great if you like a more structured look).
Craft along with me, and keep an eye out for the next part of the series coming soon.
What materials you will need: 2 x A4 Sheets Construction/Grey board, Construction/tiger tape, 3 A4 sheets of black card stock, 9mm/12mm red liner tape.
You can get the materials you need at Craftywafty.co.uk, and pick-up all your other crafting goodies too!
