When the Anglo-Normans invaded Ireland in the 12th century, they were entering a country with a rich heritage of Christian prayer, and an abundance of native saints. How would the new arrivals deal with this inheritance? The liturgy celebrated in St Canice's Cathedral helps us answer that question.
