Government could have enacted a law to curb the practice of Female Genital Mutilation but the law seems to be doing less towards fighting the practice.
According to the reports from the six districts in the East and Northern Eastern Uganda where the practice is popular and among the Sabiny and some Karamajong, this outlawed act is silently going on in especially those in hard to reach areas.
Statistics show that in Nakapiripirit where this practice is still popular, already only nine cases of convicts has been registered;
