Ente Italiano per le Audizioni Radiofoniche E.I.A.R.

Ente italiano per le audizioni radiofoniche, conosciuto anche con la sigla EIAR, fu la società anonima (società per azioni dal 1942) titolare della concessione in esclusiva delle trasmissioni radiofoniche circolari sul territorio italiano. L'EIAR svolgeva quindi la propria attività di editore e operatore radiofonico in regime di monopolio.

E.I.A.R. The company was established in 1927, after the partial takeover of the private radio broadcaster Unione Radiofonica Italiana (URI), which since 1924 had been the only organisation authorized to establish radio transmitters and run radio broadcasts in Italy. Between 1929 and 1939, the E.I.A.R. presented the first television broadcasting tests in Italy.
