As per the new government guidelines we are now allowed to travel to where ever we wish in England to do exercise. I thought I would up to have a walk around Kemble and catch this arrival. My plan was to get the Saudi 744 coming in but it landed a lot earlier than the other the previous day so I missed it. So, I thought I would head up anyway to see it parked up. Then I got news there was this A320 due in. I hadn't got an A320 landing there before let alone an Ex Qatar one. So this was a nice surprise.
The aircraft departed Birmingham and asked for clearance to leave the UK airspace for 14 miles. I believe it was for dignitaries reasons. After that, it did a nice flyover before turning onto the downwind leg for RWY08 before coming. Sad to think that is the last landing that aircraft will ever make.
