Nintendo Switch 2: The Pricing Nightmare Begins

Last week's Nintendo Switch 2 reveal showed off not only some new games but also an increase in both the price of the console and its respective games and it hasn't gone over great with fans.

Inflation, tariffs, and better hardware and performance among other things are all being propped up as justifications for the increase in the pricing of the Nintendo Switch 2 and its games. New reveals such as Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bonanza, and The Duskbloods were all overshadowed by the backlash to the new pricing model as well as Nintendo's poor response to the backlash. It also appears Nintendo could be poised to increase prices even further after evaluating tariffs that went into place the same day as the reveal which could embolden other gaming companies to continue increasing their prices to the detriment of the consumers.
