At our October 14, 2023 meeting Ned Parks, ATP/CFII, discussed something you either have never heard of, or very seldom have. Numerous accidents have occurred to fixed-wing aircraft as a result of helicopter wake turbulence. Ned’s presentation explores the impact of helicopter wake turbulence on fixed-wing aircraft, in both the VFR and IFR environments, and what fixed-wing pilots can do to avoid it.
