This recording was made in 2015 in celebration of the Centenary of St. Paul's Co-educational College.
'We build our school on Thee, O Lord' has been used as SPCC's school hymn since 1949. With its lyrics written by Sebastian W Meyer in 1908, the hymn is sung to the tune of Adoro Te (St. Chrysostom) composed by Joseph Barnby in 1871.
Prior to 1949, the College had a school song in Cantonese. It is no longer sung in daily school life. A rendition of this former school song performed by the girls of the Treble Choir in 2015 can be found here: • 聖保羅男女中學 · 聖保羅女書院 - 舊校歌 (1920-1949) .
